-Wood-fired Copper with Bucky Black and Chris Prior

Colonial British and American water heating was often done in a "Copper". Our wood fired boiler is designed for modern cooking of a Cajun seafood boil or a Low Country boil. Traditionally a high BTU output of Propane would be used to return an 80-100 quart pot to a boil quickly after dropping 35-50 pounds of seafood into the highly seasoned cooking broth. We're going to do it with wood.

-Wood-fired Sauna with Albie Barden

-Building with Stone with Marinko Kordich

This is a brief  introduction to the fundamentals of building with stone. We will briefly cover: different styles of stone, bonding, arches and lintels, and how to read the grain in the stone. The primary focus will be on hands-on application of the theoretical. We will: build with different types of stone, dry-stacked look vs. mortared, practice using  chisels, and build an arch or two.
